Welcome! I’m Heather Jewell, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) dedicated to the belief that you're the expert in your own life.  Everyday, I'm privileged to witness clients transform and grow, no matter how long they have felt "stuck."  I believe therapy works best when you can show up as your messy, authentic self.  Nothing you bring is "too much" for me.  Here, people can talk honestly and vulnerably without the weight of judgment.  I'm a "take your shoes off and get comfortable" kind of therapist (don't worry that part isn't mandatory.  I wear jeans to work, and often find myself laughing with clients.  I want you to feel welcome.

While the atmosphere is relaxed, our work is deeply intentional.  I specialize in working with individuals 16+ and couples using an integrative framework of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).  For couples, I utilize Attachment- based therapy.  I want you to walk away with practical skills you can use the same day.

Beyond traditional therapy, I offer comprehensive evaluations for ADHD (ages 4 and up, including adults) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ages 4- 22). Each are designed to ensure an accurate diagnosis and provide a path to effective treatment.

I have a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, as well as Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. I have three incredible kids, and love to travel, read, and serve in my church and community. I also offer faith based counseling if desired.

What to expect

It’s important to me that we are a good fit for each other. If I’m not the right therapist for you, I can help direct you to someone who might be. Please feel free to email, text, or call me for a free 15 minute consultation.

If you would like to set up an appointment, I’ll email/text paperwork that needs to be completed before we meet in person. You’ll also get a text reminder of your appointment the day or two before.

If the appointment is for a minor, the first time we meet will be both the parent and child. After that, parents can meet with me as often as they would like for check-ins. Every family is different, so we can work together to decide what is the most helpful.
